LINIERT was founded by the barcelona born (1966) fashion designer ivon gasque (study at the art and craft, barcelona) and the viennese architect christian kollarovits (born 1967, study at the TU, technical university, vienna).
the programmatic title stands for the attempt of putting into a kind of new ”order” or “in line” the abundance of questions and challenges that the design process entail. daily life also includes such ordering processes. not an easy task considering the actual significance of modern notions of chaos and the uncertainty principle – but you needn’t worry about it!

“normally there is little talk in fashion of armour and trophies... although the need for covering and adorning oneself has not changed! even the smartest contemporary drapes him-herself in brand-name clothing, hoping that the significance of the brand will somehow rub off onto him. not only does fashion arise out of such circumstances, but even our own ideas of textile armour and trophies, reliable and aesthetic companions of our daily life. always keeping our distance from purely trendy discourse, generally based on rather banal entertainment by virtue of implementing constant changes, we design clothes that are like sculptures , consisting of unusual materials and finely conceived styles.
