„keep calm and carry on“ is a slogan based on a long forgotten british poster commissioned as part of a series during world war II by england’s temporary ministry of information. they were meant to spark cheer and confidence for the public in the event of an attack from outside. nowadays the attack is taking place from inside. apparently infinite obligations combined with a persistent overexcitement are impedements to keeping calm. only the cynical hope remains that everything will go well as long as you keep trying. carry on!
