a philosophic office is a place, where you can indulge in some supervised philosophizing. the basic premise of philosophy there is always doubt or astonishment. everyday life loses its obvious nature and you look for answers to questions, which weren´t posed before. this project is the attempt to create architecture by a process which will subsequently act as a host to it. one´s astonishment at the obsolete designing strategies in architecture, which have neither basis nor reason in fact. linear coherences and dialectic opposites are maintained for the purpose of keeping up the classic idea of truth and beauty. “it`s amazing how convincing the illusion can be that beauty is good!” client: mag. axel albrecht / 1999
